The gardens offer an oasis of peace, tranquillity and beauty that I can't put into words. Plants are truly little miracle workers, and here you will see them in all their glory. You will see plants creating flowers with stunningly vivid colours so pure I felt mesmerized. If you take the time to really look at each flower and not just glance at them, you will see the depth of pure natural colour crimsons, oranges, yellows along with other plants that create subtle colours like soft muted purples. Colours are not the only thing you will marvel at. The air in the different zones of the Botanic gardens was filled with natural perfumes, sweet, soft, lemon, lavender and honey, scents that gave the colours an added dimension of reality. Soft muted purple coloured flowers Soft muted purple coloured flowers The central part of the Botanic Gardens has a "bee house". At first, I could only hear a gentle buzz but later I saw them collecting the nectar from the pink blossoms in the trees.

Skip the Line: Natural Science Museum Tickets Barcelona

The architects, Herzog & de Meuron, created this unusual building in 2004. With its proximity to the sea and the river of Besòs, the building itself was also named after the colour blue. It’s painted in a beautiful dark blue, like an underwater world, waiting to be explored, with the occasional mirror here and there. When walking towards the entrance, you’ll discover a number of bright areas with mirrors, which reflect the blue sky, creating a beautiful view. The museum was opened in March of 2011. The Museu Blau is part of the natural science museums in the city – alongside the botanical garden, the Martorell Museum and the Laboratori de Natura. These are all located in other parts of the city: In the Park de la Ciutadell, on the Montjuic, or here, at the forum.
